stiff neck part of fibro?

I have had a very stiff neck for 2 days.....it's even making me have nausea, it hurts so much. I had something like it about a month ago. Is this part of fibro? It is really bothering me. I slept in the recliner last night. I've tried my NSAID, Exedrin, and hydrocodone (not all at the same time). Nothing has helped. It's like I took candy. I've also tried the heating pad.

I also have a torn rotator cuff which I'm having surgery on in 2 weeks. Perhaps this is causing my neck pain? What do you guys think...and do you have suggestions for me for the pain? I'm at my wits end.

I often have a stiff neck. It usually keeps me awake at night wich cuases me to have all sort of other problems in the day. It could be part of youre fibro. hopefully after you have your surgery you will know for sure. I hope your surgery goes well. keep us posted.

I have a sprained shoulder. It gave me a stiff neck also. Maybe it is the rotator cuff?

Hi everyone, just wanted to reply to myjoy, A stiff neck could be s pintched nurve and you should get an MRI as soon as possible, If it is and its bad enough to make you sick you could have some bad problems to follow.

However I have a very stiff neck most of the time my fibro is getting real bad and I wont to go back to the doctor but here in Oregon most doctors wont see you unless you pay then what the insurance wont and right now IM broke, I cant spell either.
