I'm just finishing up a course in Medical Transcript
ion. It's been very tricky with the Fibro--either extreme stiffness,or frequent headaches, and, of course, fibro fog. I have given this my best shot. I have no problem with spelling most of the words, as I enjoy spelling. However, the formatting, rules, do's and don'ts are quite another story--just too much for me to remember. I am most definitely NOT a "computer person." I'll be honest. I cannot see myself working through fibro fog and doing a decent job of much of ANYthing. Also, I cannot for the life of me remember all the lingo tied to computer use, the programs, etc. In one ear and out the other. God knows I've tried!
My husband is worried about finances. He has a fairly good job, but we seem to be losing our grip, little by little. I can't do daycare, as our son had some problems a few years ago, and the same people would be involved in licensing. (long story I told on a previous thread). I applied for disability but was turned down. Guess I'm too healthy--not! I've researched work-at-home jobs, but they usually involve selling or the usual ones like Mellaluca (not sure of the exact name) but it seems overboard in our area, and my husband isn't too keen on the selling thing anyway. I've discussed all this with my MD, but he only said well, at least my husband is working. I would love to do some simple craft, but DH isn't too excited about that either. He is a DH, don't get me wrong, but really doesn't know how bad the fibro fog, etc. can be. Dead end!
I really wouldn't mind SIMPLE typing on the computer-- with nothing complicated re computer programs or anything else my fibro fogged mind couldn't bear. But where would I start to look into this? It would have to be VERY part-time and VERY simple as my body is just too unreliable. The last few days the "fog" has been so thick that it feels like all my brain cells are turned off, so please excuse me if this post isn't too clear. Just would appreciate some ideas as to where to find "simple" and uncomplicated typing jobs--or other ideas would be appreciated too. Thanks so much!!!
