So I kinda fell on the Im gonna kick fibros  wagon and guess what we got to the top of the mountain and I got thrown off the wagon and fell all the way to the bottom of that mountain which has left me in total pain and in a major pshycological war...I am in pain I am depressed and the realization that I can not work is creeping up on me.....I have so many debts. the sheriff served us papers last night about a little property tax issue they want 2700.00 in 20 days.

haha yea the joke is always on me. I called rheume to day and also called a counselor to make an appointment Im tired of being tired. I need a vacation...

Sorry for the moment of misery. But really need some support

Hi leemadd,

I'm sorry life is miserable but I can tell you from experience...even tho you get away for a few days doesn't make the problems go away. Yes, it it helpful and relaxing but as we all have discovered the problems are still waiting for you when you return.

You might try calling for some legal aid. There is free help for anyone who can't pay and if you have a debt I'm guessing the $2700 isn't sitting in your pocket right now. I'm not sure what it's called in your area but start by looking in the phone book and find something under attorneys or legal aid or try the court who sent you the paperwork. They have to tell you where you can get some legal help. And as we're heading into winter they can't evict you. If all else fails call the Red Cross in your area. They have the names and phone numbers of anyone you would need who could help you. It's what they do....help people in need and it's not just for hurricanes and earthquakes.

Hi Leanne,

It sure has been a while since we have heard from you. I am so glad that you have posted. But I am truly sorry for your circumstances. I just got last years taxes paid so I know how scarey it is when you get behind. Chutz has some wonderful advice. There are options for you to get some help. At least some advice. Could you take out a loan from the bank to come up with the money? Will they let you make payments. That is what I am going to do for this years taxes. We have to pay at least 50.00, but anyway it helps.

I hope that you can find some solutions. Also as mentioned above, you might want to hook up with some counseling. That would give you some support at this time. Especially when things are so stressful. You are always welcome to come and visit the depression forum. That is if you feel like it.

I hope that things get better for you. By the way, what does it exactly mean when the sheriff delivers papers? Does it mean that they are going to try to take your house? Or is it just some formality? I really hope that things work out for you.

We have been served with the papers as in they are suing us for the tax money and they want there money in 20 days or else house will go to tax sale. My credit is so bad now that I probally would not qualify for a 10.00 loan hehe.

Hi, Leane.  I'm sorry you are going through this but you are not alone, from what I understand.  There are a lot going through this.  There has to be some help out there for people caught in this situation.  Chutz had some good ideas.  Do you belong to a church that could possibly help you out?  You could pay them back.  Do you have any family that could offer a helping hand?  That's about all I can think of.  I wish I could be of more help.

 

Once this situation gets settled, the fibro pain will most likely get better.  This amount of stress is horrible, but I'm not telling you something you don't know.  I'll definitely keep you and your family in my prayers.

I'm so sorry, Leanne. I don't have any advice, but I do want to give you my support. Please know that I will be thinking of you. Financial strain has to be the biggest stress factor there is. Dh and I were weeks away from bankruptcy a few years ago. We could have lost our house, car, his job (b/c of no car). I was in my 3rd trimester with our 3rd child at the time, no maternity benefits b/c I quit my job (b/c of harrasment at work), and I saw no way out. We ended up being very lucky. It wasn't easy, but we pulled through. I do remember the stress though, it made me sick every day. And I didn't have fibro then.

Just remember this:
Nothing is ever constant except change. This situation can not last forever for you, and when we think we are at the bottom, there is no way to go but up. Please keep posting, we are here to support you.

Leanne,I know what it is to worry about finances. Right now we are in debt settlement, which is very embarrassing, along with all my medical problems I have a problem with spending and for years charged things and have gotten us into finacial problems, but always worked our way out by refinacing, cashing in 401ks and so on, but now there were no more alternatives to help us out. We were ok until my private disability was cut out last November. Funny they thought I was disabled enough to hire a lawyer to help me get social security disability and I did, then private cut me off four months later! We thought we would have to file bankruptcy, but went to debt settlement instead. I found a lawyer that agreed to take on my disability case appeal on commission, which means if I don't get anything from the appeal, they don't either. I was very lucky to find someone. She said the private insurance companys do this all the time. Well I just wanted to let you know there is help out there. Try Legal aid or try working with the bank, they don't want to take the houses back, then they cant even sell them at forclosed prices. Maybe if you try to pay just a few dollars a month they will work something out. I finally gave all my worries up to my failth, even though it's harder than it seems. I'm trying not to spend, no more credit, admitted I have a spending problem and trying to work that out too! Have you tried disability? It's a long process, but it's there for you, and in these times many of other people are exactly where we are. Hang in there! You're in my prayers! You have support here!

Prayers for you. My husband and I have had a year similar to yours. Sorry for all the stress - I know just how you are feeling. Just take care of yourself as best you can.

Thank you all for your support, I have a long road to go in only a short time, I know some how we will make it through....It just seems like its a dead end road sometimes. And the pain does not help any. I remember when a glass of wine and a roll in the --- with my hubby made things seem a little more tolerable.Now when there is stress it hits me hard. I just need to stop carrying around this load of bricks all the time.
Again thanks for all your kind words and support. I called the DR she had me double up on the amitriptlne for a few days and up the tylenol motrin and I have an appt with a counselor so hopefully things will get better.
