First of all, Obrian Welcome and a most Happy Birthday to you. 40 yrs old, I kinda, sorta remember that age lol. In our family we can't celebrate birthdays on the day, we have different schedules for school or work. We celebrate the bd on Sunday, usually after the event. Today is Sunday, you can have the whole day to celebrate this special day in your life.
Secondly, I have cold hands and feet every day of my life, since I was a child. My mother tells me I take after my pat GM, who had hands like ice. The only time they warm up for me is when I have a raging fever, I warm up to 98.9 - 99.6. I am sick right now just starting to get the flu, my hands and feet are still cool to the touch.
Standing on your feet all day must be so draining and tiring for you. 10 hrs a day is such a long shift. I have fibro and arthritis thru out my body, so I just can't work like I used to. I was never one to teach sitting down, I had to be up and moving.
I don't know what kind of shoes you wear for work, but I would suggest you find the most comfortable pair that your workplace allows. I used to wear an inexpensive pair of dress shoes, didn't think it mattered. IT mattered!! I wore socks to keep my feet as warm as possible. I have several prs of gloves. My hands get so cold and stiff, I can't move or bend them, they just lock. Ppl laugh b/c I wear my gloves so early in the yr, the heck w/ them I need to be able to use my hands. I take a hot shower at night to warm my whole body, then dress in sweats to keep warm. Everyone in my house feels comfortable, while I'm freezing.
I do hope you and your dh spend a wonderful day celebrating you 40th. It only comes once, unless you are in my family, they all decided to sit on 39 forever. I'm older than my older sister, funny how that works.
God bless. Alice.
