Myjoy, how about doing my passion....genealogy! I've traced my family back to the early 1500's on the computer! I do use Ancestry.com and that costs $155 a year. If you don't have the money for that, there are a few free sites that aren't as good but it could get you started until you are more financially stable. If you are interested, email me and I'll send you some links. It really is quite fascinating. I study the history of the times that they lived, too. I'm making books for my family so our history will be passed on.
Since you belong to a church and choir, you must meet people there. Make plans to meet for lunch or invite someone to your home. If the weather is nice, plan to meet a friend in a park for a picnic. Sometimes, by making the initial move, you can meet some wonderful people and be lifelong friends.
Do you enjoy gardening? You could do that or just do gardening from pots. I want to try bonzai gardening but haven't had the time yet. I am learning how to grow orchids and that is nice. I learned how to transplant orchids, gave it a try, and it's growing! I amazed myself! LOL
Have you tried your hand at drawing? That just needs paper and charcoal pencils. You might be surprised at what you can do. You can get books from the library that teach you how to draw. I used to do oil paintings for relatives for Christmas gifts.
How about calligraphy? That's a unique talent and with that you can make your own cards.
Sewing is a good hobby. You can try cross-stitching and make gifts this way. It gives you something to do and saves money at the same time.
Just stop and think of what you like to do or what you would like to learn how to do. I think you will be surprised at what you come up with! Hope these ideas spur something inside you. By the way, the suggestions I have given you cost very little money.
