I forgot where my shoes were!!!

It's pretty chilly in the mornings so I had DH to get the tubs of winter clothes down and shoe tub, all still sitting in our bedroom floor waiting for me to get time to change clothes over, but there were no shoes in the shoe tub, just handbags. I know I went through our closet and got rid of a lot of things last spring but all my shoes and slippers??? Don't think I'm quite that bad yet but was beginning to wonder since I had no idea where my winter shoes and slippers were for the past two weeks. Then yesterday out of the blue I remembered I had bought the under the bed shoe storage thingies "As Seen On TV" to store my shoes in. shakehead Now I have slippers to wear on these cold mornings. smilewinkgrin

 

I have decided to take a wall in the house and paint it with chalk board paint so when I put something away I can write where it is on the wall. turn That would save me hours a week in looking for things.

Oh i can relate to this.. you put it away some where where you will be able to find it and then.. wow can;t find it LOL..

we searched for about two weeks for some hindges that we put away they where special ones. for our TV center. LOl finially found then in one of my blue glass jars in the window of all places. LOL. not in the toll Box not in the junk draws. not where we keep such things .. pew .. what a search .

HMMM...you have a 'shoe tub?'  "As Seen On t.V?"  How on earth did I miss that?  I'll have to get me one of those.  I have four pairs of favorite slippers and can't find any of them.  I take that back.  I found one red one in the clothes hamper.  I have a uni-slipper.  Hop Hop, hop..

What do you have, Marlee...two king size beds side by side?  I think that's the only way you could get all your shoes under your bed!  devil

collects purses too? That darn fog can sure mess us up sometimes. It is like a quiz

I love your painting idea...an entire wall, huh??? Hmmm, wonder if I can find a wall that isn't full of pictures...ok found one. Don't want the black stuff so found a nice green, can't find brushes so next time to the store I get 3 more sponge brushes, one roller and a bristle brush. Oh, I'm so proud I remembered the plastic drop cloth thingie. Back home and tomorrow I'll start painting.

(next day) Where is that darn can of paint I bought??? I know it's somewhere, it can't just disappear, it's only been like 3-4 days...OK, maybe last month, but how deep can it be buried? <sigh> Question hubby...nope! Tear apart the storage building...only some left over bright red for an idea I had that included some Styrofoam balls, glitter, 12 yards of chain and red paint...ok, never mind.

<2 weeks later> Marlee!!!! Is my paint under your bed??? I has to be there...oh, never mind I finally cleaned out the refrigerator and guess what was in the back of the vegetable bin??? Ya, the blackboard paint for the wall..the green color. Oh well, too late now. Hubby hug about a dozen more pictures of the Grand Canyon and some weird looking stumps. Anyone have a use for a lot of brushes and a can of blackboard paint? You have to take some glitter and about 12 yards of chain off my hands too.

For the smart aleck of the group, and she knows who she is, I did get rid of lots of shoes last spring since fibro is moving into my feet and it's all about comfort now, not style. cry

 

Donna, you know the zip top shoe holders that are flat enough to fit under your bed, I'm sure you have seen them advertised a million times. Walmart carries them too as some other stores does. It will come to you sooner or later. devil

 

Yes, I do have a handbag fetish, I haven't found a support group for it. smilewinkgrin I keep some of my stock hidden from DH. If the man ever has a reason to go into the guest room closet I'm in trouble. There is nothing like a new purse to make me feel good. I'm glad he is oblivious to the handbags I carry.

about a week and a half ago we went to a football game in freezing (actually lower than freezing--about 25) weather. I tried to find my silk long underwear and could only find the top. I searched EVERYWHERE for the pants and never found them. Yesterday I found them in my white clothes basket of clean clothes. But I don't know how they got there because I never put them in the washer or dryer. I think they vanished into thin air, then reappeared in the laundry basket. Diane
