Good day all. Hope it's going well and that you are having a bit of peaceful time for yourself. It's something that's hard to find yet absolutely critical for us to have...peaceful, quiet time for us! Now, how to get more of it is another story all together...and I have no magical answers to that question. So, let's get to a topic for Thursday~~
I think most everyone has either attended a street fair, Saturday market, or some celebration where vendors are selling their wares. Items for sale range from amazing paintings and art work to tacky t-shirts and weird things done with shells and hot glue. What's the strangest, weirdest or tackiest thing you've either seen for sale or bought from a vendor?
I think for me it was toe rings, hands down! We were working at a city celebration one year and our booth was right next to a young, or should I say immature, couple selling toe rings. Now if you care to wear toe rings that's fine. But having person after person trying on the same ones is disgusting! And I would think it should violate some health code or at least some common sense. But the icing on the cake was the couple selling them. When business was slow they kept themselves 'busy. In old fashion terms she was sitting on his lap making out with vigor! You know what I mean...lip lock, suck face, get it on...they were doing all of the above. And no, I didn't buy one! <shudder>...lol Needless to say people would see them turn tail, and leave the area which meant no one came to our booth either. Plus the rings looked like something that came out of a bubble gum machine.
So, what weird, strange or disgusting thing have you seen vendors selling or did you buy?
