      Hello to all here! I just thought I would take a peek at what was going on over here on the forum. Im a fairly new member on the Chronic Pain Forum, and I know a few of you visit there once in while. All....I can say is WOW!...I have heard of Fibro before but have never really taken the time to research it. While I don't really know much of anything about your condition, I have read a few of the post here, and can see that it consist of lots of pain, in the worst way. My heart goes out to all of you here, and hope you have a wonderful weekend. HW has been an excellant place for me, and I have love being here. Again, my best to you all! :)

Hi, Michael, and welcome!  I'm glad you stopped by!  Do you have fibro or are you trying to find out info about it?  The best place to start is the Fibro 101 thread...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good information about fibromyalgia and you will learn a lot there.

 

Fibro is a painful condition but it isn't life threatening, so that is good.  When we learn how to control the pain, we do have many good times in life.  I have had a full and enjoyable life so far with fibro.

 

We appreciate your coming by and checking us out!  We do have a wonderful forum here and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!  The more you know about fibro, the more you can help others.  Oh, be sure to check out the Doctors Respond to New York Times Article in Fibro 101.  It's an eyeopener!  Hope to hear more from  you soon.

  Hello Sherrine!, no, I dont have it, but I do have a couple of very good friends that do. I don't think they are members, and I will tell them about it right away. I have heard many good things from the CP forum about this Fibro forum. I think I have seen you over there recently, but not for sure. I do lots of reserch for my self, but have found that I love helping other members as well. It has bothered me that I'm very limited in my knowledge in other areas on the chronic pain forum. Many of the members there have this horrible condition. Thanks for your speedy reply, and please forgive my poor spelling. Have a nice evening!

Thank you so much for the great compliment!  We do try hard to help everyone we can and we have some fun in the process!  I'm glad you will let your friends know about our fibro forum on HealingWell.  I personally think it's the best fibro forum out there...actually all of the forums on HealingWell are wonderful!  I would have never agreed to moderate if it wasn't "top drawer".

Helping others is the name of the game.  That's why most of us are on here.  We will have newbies come on that are devastated by their diagnosis but, once they receive information on how to help themselves, they step up to the plate and help others.  I'm glad you are one of these people.  You will be a happier person for it, even though you are suffering, too. 

I hope you have or are getting control of whatever has given you chronic pain.  It's not fun living like this but we are alive and have a good future ahead of us.  I hope you come back and I do hope your friends join in our fibro family!

nice of you to drop by, maybe google fibro on the internet, here we have a local monthly fibro support group
and they bring in doctors and pharmacist to talk on the different aspects of fibro from their view points and we've
even had someone bring up water stretches...So I would say to everyone look at your community to see if they have local fibro groups,
there is also a hotline if people need it during bad flairs here...
