do these symptoms sound familiar ? Help

I posted this on the CFS board also... hoping for someone to say it sounds familiar

 

  am in a real bad place over here. not sure what's going on. wonder if any of this sounds familiar to any of you . I normally post on the Fibro board and Chronic pain. I am sure there is more going on. but have not been able to figure out what yet.

 

symptoms.

 

fatigue... activity seems to really do me in and have to lay down. some times takes days to recover. from like the grocery store. . or when we go over to help my parents . I don't do much but what I do get done I suffer for later.

 

I do have Fibro... but they have not ruled out so many things yet.

 

I will break out in a sweat. dripping from my forehead and back of neck.. kind of like a hot flash but not.. at the same time my arms will be cold to the touch and I guess outer limbs will be cold and this causes my muscles to hurt.. I will feel clammy and cold. sweaty. also makes me feel extremely ill. sick to tummy . nausea , short of breath , weakness

 

lately loss of apatite weight loss.. but I cut back on the Lyrica and are no longer starving. thought this might be why losing weight . but loss of apatite. ? not sure..

 

of course at the same time I have my reg Fibro symptoms.

neck pain , disc disease. bulging disc.. this causes migraines. .. shoulder blades constant burning . and pain.. lots of grinding when I do my stretches...

arm pain. muscles. ligaments.. deep muscles pain. and skin hurts to touch. feel bruised always feel cold.

leg pain muscle pain . ligaments I think too. constant hurt. ach.

feet. I do have arthritis in my feet. x ray.. bottom of heal feels bruised like I jumped from the roof and landed on my feet. ( I did this as a child. )

problems walking . short of breath , fatigue, always feel like I have not slept. I use a c-pac . sever sleep apnea .

Fog. cant find the right words. saying something other than what I was thinking. short term memory long term. trouble talking .

hip pain. shoulder pain... where I lay on my body to sleep will feel bruised all day .

my hands hurt bad too. was told arthritis but no x ray to prove it.. knuckles turn white then later red... right hand is worse. cant write some days. can not open jars. ect.

and the list goes on and on.

I have been telling my family doc something else is going on besides Fibro .. but we have not figured it out yet.

 

does any of this sound familiar to any of you ?? I need help.

thinking of filing short term disability at work. and then long term . and ssd.

 

sorry if this is all mixed up . cant keep it straight today. trying though.. thinking maybe ME

sore throat , ear ach... gland under my arm hurts

Hi Spirit...so many of those symptoms sound like fibro but not the sore throat, swollen lymph nodes etc.(Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so)  Have you been tested for Epstein Barr, mono or Lyme?  It's so easy to blame fibro on all our symptoms because the list is so extensive.  I am way past menopause but I have horrible night sweats that make me feel cold and clammy.  My skin is always cool to the touch.  I'm thinking maybe Raynaud's with the discoloration of your fingers?  Hope your doctor gets to the bottom of this soon.  And...just a thought...Lyrica and other SSRI type drugs cause all kinds of disturbing symptoms that we pass off as the disease instead of the drug used to treat it...trust me...been there and never again.  But that's just MHO.  Maybe some other members have ideas. Hang in there...

I replied to your post in cfs board. But I think it sounds like Lyme and coinfections.

thanks Hon.. you always are so kind . and always answer my post. thanks dear.

my family Doc is real good nd really cares.. he can even teel if I am having a bad day when I see him.. I just wish my Rhume was that good. but sadly not..

he is requesing some more blood work. and is concerned that I may develope a under active thyroid . so he keeps checking this. as he said thats all i need with everything else I dealing with.
he is checking for lupus again... and I aksed him to dig deeper for me . so he is.. he also gave me a copy of my last blood work . so I can check what we are testing . and to have in case we send me over to an infectious disease Doc. his thought of where to go next.
as I keep bring up lyme .
also wants me back with the GYN to check if the hot flases are Hormone related. ? dont know. does not feel like the ones I have been having for years now. feels Different .
I will start this week and keep track of each one so I can see how often this happens. but as I said I have been having hot flashes for years now and this does not feel the same.
I just dont know... hope we can figure this out soon...

I have to chime in also with my two-cents......please ask to be tested for Lyme disease. I had friends on another board (celiac.com) urging me to be tested for Lyme disease for the longest time because every time I turned around for the past two years I had a new diagnosis - a new autoimmune disease! I decided to humor them and get tested, but I didn't think that was a real possibility. At least, not until I tested positive for Lyme disease!

Lyme disease can both mimic and trigger autoimmune diseases, and your swollen lymph nodes are extremely suspicious.

You may also have lupus, or RA, or even an autoimmune thyroid disease...please check out the list of autoimmune diseases in my signature for more ideas! :)

Keep in mind that fibromyalgia is frequently associated with autoimmune diseases, but if you do have any AI diseases, they may have been triggered by Lyme; some of mine apparently were!

It really does sound like something else could be going on. Get a complete checkout and find out. I hope that it is only fibro though. Let us know.
