Skin rashes or blemishes

I'm just wondering if anyone has any odd rashes, bumps or other unexplained skin outbreaks. I have a rash on my face and spots that look like gnat bites on my arms and neck. FIBRO RELATED?

Hi, It's a new day, and welcome! I'm glad you found us and joined it! Golly, I don't have that problem. How long has this been going on? If I was getting a lot of that, I think I'd head to the doctor to be checked out. Maybe it's an allergy of some sort. But, perhaps others have had this problem and will pop in.

Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum. There are links to good information about fibromyalgia there and you will learn a lot about this illness. Knowledge is power!

Hi and welcome to the family!!

I don't know what your skin problem is from as it's not necessarily attributable to fibro. But several years ago I started to break out in an awful sort of 'rash'. I was getting little tiny bumps everywhere, they itched like wild fire and nothing would stop it. Doc tried everything and then sent me to a dermatologist. He immediately put me on a large dose of prednesone for about a month which immediately got it under control but the problem was to find out why I was getting these. Luckily he was a mature doc and had seen this before as it's a very rare type of dermatitis called dermatitis herpetiformus. I now take a very old and cheap medication and it keep under control but oh Lordy! was I miserable.

Now, I doubt that this is what you have going but I wanted to give you an example of how nasty this fibro is. We begin to attribute so many things to fibro and then something actually comes by that is NOT related and away we go on another adventure...lol

I agree about checking with the doc. It's not something you want to let get out of comtrol.

I had a rash years ago that started out on my ankle and spread up the back of my leg to my knee. Nothing killed it. I tried
predisone, cortisone creams, Vit E oils and anything else I could get my hands on and it kept spreading. I finally read about
Black Walnut Hulls so I went on them doing 2 tablets 4 times a day and in a week it was gone completely. This is after months
of other procedures. It's good for any kind of rashes like poison ivy, infantago, scabies, etc.

Yesterday, I thought I had gotten stung by a wasp on my hand...In the middle of the winter? Don't think so. It swelled up like a hive with a white spot in the middle and hurt all day. Today it doesn't hurt but there is still this white raised lump there. Sometimes I will get clusters of small water blister thingys that itch for days. Sometimes red bumps, mainly on my legs, that if I didn't look, I wouldn't know they were there. So...you answer is yes...but don't know if it's fibro related.
