Hi and wow!
I was thrilled with all of the creative and fun topics that others posted for Koffee Klatches. We should do more of this...sharing posting.
Anyway, I'm nearly back on my feet but doing well enough to get back to posting. I do miss out but needed the rest. So, since this is Sunday let's find ways to help our fellow forums friends. What tips or ideas do you have for making the bed and changing the sheets, etc? OK, this isn't earth shaking but it's one task that's not easy to do for a lot of us.
Until about
a year ago I've always slept on a waterbed. Easy to make...pull up the sheet and comforter as you get out and it's done. But it's more work for me with a regular bed...sheets, electric blanket, comforter, and piles of pillow with cases on them. I usually use one set of sheets. Taking them off is not easy so I do it early in the day when I'm not too tired. I roll back the blanket and comforter from the top then roll the sheets down as far as I can. Go the the bottom and roll the blanket/comforter to the top and out of the way so I can retrieve the sheets underneath. That leaves me with a roll of sheets, toss the pillowcases on top and I head for the wash machine. Once they're done I wait until hubby wants to head to bed to put them back on. That way I get help. Sneaky? Nope, self preservation...lol
Do I make the bed each day? Yes and no! I have this rule that if the bed is made before you climb into it at night then you made the bed that day. Hubby knows that if he tries to climb into an unmade bed I'll make him get back out so I can pull it together and then he can go to bed. Just one of my silly quirks.
How do you change/make or not make your bed?
