dry eyes

So in the past I have tried to wear contact lenses because my glasses keep irritating my ears and my nose but when I tried the contacts they irritated my eyes... the eye doctor tried several different kinds and several different solutions and it came down to the same thing my eyes ended up really itchy and pain ful and had to take the lenses out... the longest I kept them in was four hours and that was a struggle.. the lenses were always really dry and i couldn't seem to keep them moist. anyone else have this problem and what was done so that youcould wear contacts?

Well, I don't wear contacts but I have very dry eyes. After seeing several eye doctors with inflamed or infected eyes I went to a specialist who treats dry eyes. I had my tear ducts plugged to help keep my tears on my eye longer. My tears had been draining out the tear ducts too fast before they were plugged. This has helped a lot. I haven't had problems with my eyes in 2 years. Maybe you could ask you doc about this. Good luck.
