How tall are you? Are you content with it? Has it bothered you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller and why? It seems we always want what we don't have, especially when we were young. So these are some questions for you to consider and post about.

I 'was' just short of 5'6" most of my life. But over the last 2-3 years I've lost some height. The last physical I had I measured in at 5'-4 1/2"! I was shocked. I was OK with 5'5" but going below that did stun me a bit. I've always thought it would be cool to be very short, I have no idea why. But I would prefer that I had started out that way and not shrink to a new low...lol I'm not too keen on the idea of being really tall. Been around family friends who the parents and sons and daughter are all at least 6' or more and they just seem like giants to me. Plus the issue of finding clothing and shoes to fit! Just never seem OK for me.

What's your height and opinion on it?

I am 5'-4 1/2" and happy with that. Have you had a bone density scan yet? My gynie doc keeps a close eye on height checking for bone loss. I had a bone density scan recently mainly because I had a complete hysterectomy 8 years ago at the ripe old age of 40.

I'm 5'7"- nearly 5'8".  I have been happy with it.  When I was younger I was painfully thin and use to want to be shorter so I could maybe look like I had some curves.

I'm just over 5'4. I like my general size but always wanted my legs to be a few inches longer (they're proportionately short.) And with clothes, often I'm right inbetween misses and petites.

I'm 5'5". I've always wanted to be taller because--my mom is 5'8', my dad was 6'3", my younger sister is 6', my brother is 6'2", my husband is 6'4", my sons are 6'3", and 6'4", all my in-laws are tall, also. I have 4 nieces that are almost 6' tall.

I'm 5'5 3/4", yeah, don't forget the 3/4! lol! I am the shortest in my birth family, except for my mother. My father was 5'7 1/2'', my sisters are 5'7" and 5'8 1/2", my brother is 5'10". In my family, my DH is 6'3", both sons are 6' and my daughter is 5'2". I used to wish I was taller when I was younger, but as an adult, I find I'm happy w/ my height. Now, if you start talking about the size of my feet, that's a whole other story. lol! My daughter always said she wanted to be as tall as her father, but I truly don't see that happening anytime soon. I think we are where we are meant to be.

My older sister and brother each have a daughter who is 5'2", my younger sister's daughter is 5'8" and I'm not sure she is done growing.

I was 5' 4" until the past few years and now I'm 5' 3" something. I was always the shortest in my family, both of my sisters were 5' 7" don't know what they are now, my mom was 5'5', my dad 6'0" and my brother about 6'1". My DH was 6'2" don't know what he is now, oldest son is 5'10", middle son is 6'2" and youngest is only 5'7".

 

I was happy with my height but wish my legs were longer. I can't wear heals now to add to the length of my legs.

 

I have a bunch of stuff scheduled at the hos next wed colonoscopy fun, fun, fun and bone density test to name two. I'm curious to see how my bones are doing since my last one. Probably not too good with the low vit D.

I guess I'm the midget here at just 5'. I'm short and chubby but if I lose a little more weight I can go to the kiddie section to
get my clothes and there are some real nice stuff in the kids department. For a long time when I was younger I got boys
student size jeans and they were made for shorter people. I'm down to a 36x29 pants and hope to get into 34's by the
end of summer.....my goal. I'm also the shortest one in the family...they saved it all for my 6'2" baby brother.

Hey Nana, your not the only midget.  I have been 5' for years.  Now that I'm getting older I too am shrinking.  I measured 4'11" a year or two ago.  Also I'm chubby too.  I even have to have petites hemmed.  Both of my sons are almost 6'.  I don't know what happened to me.  I'm an only child so I can't compare much except with my mom which is 5'4".

I guess I was just meant to be short.  My DH is 5'7" so we would look funny if I had been very tall.

I am 5'1", and I have been for quite some time now. I feel like I am too short. Most of the time, I wish I were just a little bit taller. Not much. Just maybe 2 or 3 inches taller. A lot of people have called me shorty. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but it did when I was growing up.
