Did all your trigger points hurt?

Yes I think I think I have fibro but I also have Crohns disease. The rheumatologist did some xrays and blood work that came out negative for arthritis, but quickly touched some trigger points that didnt hurt. But I have all the symptoms on the list, well almost all. Did all of your trigger points hurt and how were they tested. She only did a few quickly.

Mary over the years my soft tissue trigger points were tested by soft palpitation. My trigger
points were always sore. Because of other symptoms my rheumy suspected osteoarthritis,
X-rays confirmed this. He also thought that I might have fibromyalgia, but suspected I had
something else going on too. Lots of bloodwork, a skin biopsy determined I had mixed
connective tissue disease(lupus, scleroderma and RA). It is hard for me to know what really
came first ... the fibro or the MCTD. All I know is that I have had three rheumy's and more
bloodwork than the average person.

You said your doc was putting you on lyrica. there are members here who take it. I'm on
Savella 50mgs 2x daily and take Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) when I'm flaring for .

Mary, I just wrote a response to your other thread about trigger (tender) points.  Check that one out!  You don't have to have all of the tender points to be diagnosed, according to the NIH.  Even sensitivity to one test can be accurate for diagnosis of fibro, according to this report.  I put a link to the report in your other thread.  Hope that helps.
