Does anyones muscles twitch. I have had this for years I think due to anxiety but i read somewhere it could be fibro realted also.

Mary, I also get muscle twitching, it usually happens when I'm really overtired.

Mary I haven't been diagnosed yet but I do get the muscle twitching, usually its in my hand but at times other places in the body.

I have read your other post, we are in the same boat. As far as cancer, I got that one out of my mind, my weight is steady now and the pain roams so I know if it was cancer the pain would be localized in area. Anytype of blood cancer would of shown up on blood test.

Psalms 6 helped me and is still guiding me through this process.

One thing I do know is I managed to avoid anxiety problems for 38 years, not so this year with everything that is happening to my body. I fought the medication thing but gave into it, I feel better mentally. Physically well still have the same problems, it is beyond my control.

PS I also have pain in hands at times when touching things and I believe I asked that question and other fibro folks have the same problem.

I get muscle twitching, sometimes my muscles buzz, and I even have the feeling water is running down my leg but there is nothing there.

Its like how could you have pain and it not be serious. I do have Crohns which I hate and Im trying hard not to get to upset about all of my aches and pains everywhere. I lost about 35 pounds in 6 months. I wonder if all this stress has triggered all this pain. My fingers hurt to sumetimes when I am doing to much or even texting my kids.

Mary, stress can definately bring on pain. Our nervous system goes into overdrive and
the adrenal gland starts pumping adreniline and cortisol into the bloodstream. Because
of that you end up with a decreased blood flow to your muscles and they become tight.

Believe me, I used to be a nervous Nellie, I worried constantly as a child and an adult.
I developed a new mindset or I would of drove myself crazy. Each day, sometimes
several times a day I take a break and do deep breathing exercices. Most of us breathe
wrong. You need to breathe from the diaphram. Take long deep breaths through the nose
and exhale slowly through your mouth. Sometimes I meditate listening to soft music.
I can actually feel the stress leave me. You can do these exercises anywhere. If I
feel negative thoughts creeping in, I start concentrating on the breathing.

Remember you are stronger than you think!
