lyrica and vision problems

I have been taking Lyrica for about 9 months.
For the past several months, I have been having trouble with my eyes; blurred vision, especially at a distance, sometimes difficulty focusing at all. I went to both my opthomalogist and my internist. Thankfully my eyes are healthy but they said to try to go off the Lyrica and see if it helped.
It did help with the pain of fibro, but I really am troubled by the vision problems. I got new glasses but they don't seem to help either.

Anyone else have this problem?

YUP. I was on Lyrica for about a month and the whole time and after I experienced vision problems, that like you, ended up to be "fine" but a side effect of this drug. This was one of a plethera of side effects which caused me to stop taking Lyrica. This was very upsetting for me because the period it took for my body to bounce back to my normal state was longer than the duration of taking Lyrica.

Buyers beware: weight gain, vision issues, more energy issues, etc.
Summary: If you're young and active, this drug REALLY isn't for you.

I had wondered about this myself. I started taking Lyrica about 4 months ago. I got new glasses at about that same time, and they seemed to work fine. I started to notice about 2 or 3 months ago that my vision is fuzzy, particularly up close. I haven't been on any other new meds during this time frame, so I'm suspecting the Lyrica. It does seem to help with my pain, and it seems to be mainly up close, so maybe I can cope.

Thank you for letting me know about your experience.

I was wondering how long it would be until I found my vision to be "normal" (with glasses) again.

I am going to try to manage without taking a daily medicine for the fibro. It is difficult but I have had bad side effects with all the daily drugs.

Hi...I have never been on Lyrica but took Lexapro for fibro pain.  Within days my vision blurred and even after being off the drug for six months...it's still blurred.  I kept going to get the prescription changed (for my glasses) and finally the eye doctor told me not to come back until I have been off the drug for 18 months.  He told me all these drugs that mess around with seratonin levels do something to the muscle in the eye that regulates focus.  Swell. Fine focus is the worst for me....makes it hard to read, watch t.v. or type on the computer.  It takes about a half hour for my vision to come back into focus after doing any of these things.

Yup, I had that with Lyrica. Too bad because it helped my pain for a few months. Then it just stopped. I've been on Nortriptyline for 18+ years, and I think it has also caused some weird visual effects, but for now I'm stuck with it.
