Chest Tightness? Anyone else?

cry I had a treadmill test last week and my heart seems to have been deemed okay although I had ectopics on cooling down. I have had chest problems for at least nine months and I don't know any more I am pretty much despairing. Is chest tightness a symptom of fibromyalgia? Why does it happen. Just had another bout after walking up one flight of stairs. I can live with the pain but I need a strong heart to do so. Not feeling so strong right now.

Oh it was upper chest too above the breasts, straight along the tightness.

I have chest pain and discomfort all the time.  I have been told I have chronic costochondritis.  It seems to go along with the Fibromyalgia.  I'm sorry you are going through this.  I will be keeping you in my prayers.  I know how scary the chest pain and tightness is.  Keep us updated on how you are doing.

I believe the chest tightness, chest pain, and shooting pains are part of fibro. My daughter gets them. Before we knew she had fibro, she was lying on the floor for weeks on end in tears. No body knew what was wrong. We had to wait 5 weeks to see a pulmonary doctor. He was nice but since the pain wasn't there anymore he had no idea what might have happened. Hindsight, it was all part of fibro. I know lots of people have written here about all the chest tightness and pain. Good luck - I know it can be scary at times.
