Water Retention?

I have looked around and havent seen anything on this. I had the worst nite ever last night with the pain and burning in my hips, legs, feet and shoulders. I did not sleep at all. This morning when I got up I noticed my legs were "lumpy" (upper legs) . Is it possible to retain fluid when you have fibro? Thanks for any input!

Yes it is a common symptom. When my fibro and cfs really hit me hard I noticed my ankles swollen (they never ever had been before) now my tummy and legs and sometimes ill feel my fingers swell too.

I have had fluid retention for years, often in the ankels, and feet, but mainly in the abdomen. I never could figure out why this was happening. I guess I had never really thought about it as being a symptom of the fibro.

especially on my hands and feet and legs after a hard day my legs feel and look like they are going to split open
