Koffee Klatch for Monday~

And a Happy Monday to all! Did you have a good weekend? Were you attending a back yard BBQ? Did you have to run errands with kids, grocery shop and take the cat to the vet? Were you traveling back home from vacation? Or did you have a nice afternoon nap with warm summer breezes softly blowing across your face? OK, I know it's a dream but they're still free...lol

What did you do this weekend? Is it something you'd like to repeat or try to avoid like the plague! I spent all weekend puttering and doing chores around the house. Had 3 year old(very soon to be 4) grandson over Friday night and when he went home on Saturday I was able to get a few things done around the house like several loads of laundry. Fixed dinner for hubby, grandson and myself. On Sunday I did get more done. More laundry and I actually weeded a flower bed today. It's been quite a while since I had weeds over an inch tall in the beds but these were candidates for grazing! Took a nice piece of salmon out of the freezer that my son caught and shared. It was so delicious on the BBQ. Then a quiet evening tonight while I get some computer time in.

I spent the weekend working with my daughter as she practiced her driving (she has her learner's permit). Today, I'm as jumpy as a "long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs."

I went to a very fancy wedding on saturday, with my husband. The bride's family is quite wealthy, and it was a real event! After the church wedding, we went to a golf course where there were tents set up all over, and waiters served us hors dourves on trays as we walked around outside. The dinner was fabulous. The chairs were not. lol

We overslept for church on sunday, so we had a devotion at home and spent part of the day cleaning house. Hubby does the vacuuming and mops the floors. It looks pretty good in here. Then we grilled dinner out on the deck and spent the rest of the evening being lazy. It was a good weekend.

The weekend always goes by quick...Friday night...date night with hubby, went out

for Mexican food, yummy! Saturday...went for long leisurely drive with hubby...stopped

at a couple antique stores and browsed. Friends came over later in the day for visit.

Sunday...out to brunch, came home, worked in the garden, pulled weeds and watered.

I could repeat this weekend...even the pulling weeds part!

Two of my sons came home on Friday, Saturday was my neices wedding so I saw alot of my family from out of state. Went to the reception but then didn't feel well so left before the dance started. I also have my almost two year old grandson every saturday night till Sunday night and he is quite a handful so by last night I was exhausted. Went to bed at 10 and didnt wake up till almost 11 this morning. That was my weekend.

I forget exactly all that we did on Saturday but we did sign a lease for a gas well company, it was a pretty good deal and will be better when they drill and start handing out royalty checks plus the up front 3,500 up front money.

On Sunday morning I cooked hubby breakfast and then ran out to feed all the animals then off to training (puppy dog) We start the young ones slow so we did a few puppy recalls, twice up & over the A frame (strecthed out) twice over the wall at the lowest setting, some short heeling.  Went home and worked (hard) in the garden.  Then I started our dinner on the grill when the stepson showed up with his friend to shoot their bow & arrows.  Needless to say I threw more food on the grill and tater tots in the oven. 

Cleaned up and hit the couch at about 9:00.  I am sore today, it was a busy weekend as I know we worked in the garden all 3 days................most is planted, the fun starts when the weeds start growing then all the canning and freezing
