How long does costo. last?

Today I had an itch along the back of my ribs. Oh my word, you would have thought that I stuck a knife in my back. It hurts so bad. Then I was leaning over holding my dog so would could trim his nails, once I stood up I thought that I was having a heart attack. This has been going on for awhile now. Geez......this is not fun.

Does the costo kind of come and go like a flare? Or does it stay for a long time? I know that flares differ with different people though so maybe there is no definate answer. Just wondering, I don't have pain in my chest or ribs much. Knock on wood. Anything can happen with fibro.
