I am trying something new, because I had an epiphany last night: if I feel so uncomfortably full all the time, even after a bowel movement, maybe it's because I AM full! I suspect, after reading your post, Desiree, that I may have been overdoing the fiber long-term. So, today I had about
half an egg, a piece of bread with peanut butter, peas, a few bites of potato w/soy cheese, a few canned peach chunks, and a
cookie. Just what my body seemed to want, and no more.
Ironically, my cat is going through the same issues, and they have me giving him Lactalose. It's helping some, but his intestines are still very full of poop (they just did an ultrasound.) So, I'm trying the same thing with him, which is hard, because he still thinks he needs to eat a lot. He only weighs about 8 pounds!
I'm eating almost nothing, but still drinking lots of water, coffee, tea, juice, and doing stool-softeners or Magnesium at night. No hunger so far. I'll let you all know how this goes! Might as well, I've tried everything else. I'm pretty sure my cat and I both have gastroparesis (slow-emptying stomach), but all they can do for that is give you freaky drugs anyway, so I don't really want to travel that road.
What I wouldn't have given for this problem when I was in my 20s and trying to lose weight!! Life is so weird sometimes lol
