And for that matter where is spring?  We have not gotten very warm weather here at all.  Its like it is kinda warm one day then its back to rain.  My flowers are doing good its just a container thing with lots  of pots.  My husband says NO MORE plants please lol I have gotten carried away,there are at least 20 pots on the bach deck in large pots and more on the front porch and railings, am glad that I didnt put in a vege garden cause everything would have died by now.  Its getting close to my birthday(9th) and I havent been feeling good so I hope at least that day holds out for me.  I have been crying this week not even happy about turning 50.  I havent come close to all the plans I had made for myself when I divorced my 1st hubby and went out on my ownand with this disease putting a hold on most of my dreams.  I am thankful to be alive(so far)but thought of that vessel in my brain that could blow at anytime, makes it hard to think about anything else. I am supposed to stay calm so as not to strain myself but who can stay calm all the time?  It proberly(cant spell that the right way lol)will all the sudden be 90 degrees when summer finally gets here.  I just cant do the heat.  And when its 60 degees one day 90 the next I get so sick.  I wish every day would be a nice 70-75 for me but thats not going to happen lol.  Its in the 60's and raining and its almost the 4th of July!!! Hope it is at least nice on the 17th(thats when I celebrate my birthday).

Karen, I haven't heard from you for a while.  Of course I was away from the forum for a while.  Maybe I have just missed your post.

 

Congratulations on your upcoming birthday.  Oh, to be 50 again. 

 

Hope your feeling well by then.  Enjoy it because it just comes around once in a lifetime.

Karen, I wish I knew how to send the Florida heat your way.  It's been in the mid 90's with a heat factor over 100 degrees.  I'd love 60 degrees right about now!  As they always say...the grass is greener....

 

You are doing so much better so dwell on that!  You have been so sick and so depressed for so long but you are sounding happier and more alive now.  We all have days where the tears flow but just thank God for each new day and enjoy it to the max! 

 

Have you tried to apply for social security disability?  If you have enough points, when you are 50 you might be able to start taking benefits early and you would get Medicare.  Then you could get that blood vessel fixed.  If I'm recalling correctly, you didn't have insurance to take care of it.  My husband passed on when I was 50 and with all the illnesses I had, I applied and got it right away.  I took it early because I really needed the health insurance and it has been a Godsend for me, too.  I've been hospitalized six times since I got Medicare!

 

Anyway, enjoy your birthday and look forward to feeling better in the future.  Take one day at a time and enjoy it to the fullest.  That should put a smile on your face.

I got neighbors named Karen and yoyo! hehe. << oregon I think Sherrine stole our spring and summer weather! I'm shocked this is such a weird season we are having.I"ll expect it to rain today cuz of how overcast it is.

Hey Ladies, i am down by Eugene, Oregon and it just started to rain.  Crazy but then i have seen many 4th of July's with rain but not this cool.  Now looking at the weather it is supposed to be mid 90's by next Wednesday, yuk, I agree with you Karen, love the 70-75 range, after that i cannot take it too much.

Hi Karen,

Nice to see you! If you're looking for summer, it is 'hiding' in plain site here on the East Coast. We have had a couple of 'heat waves' already, which is temps of 90 or above for at least a 3 day stretch. Right now, it has been nice for the past 3 days. 70's - 80's, a nice breeze, bright sun, low humidity. That will be changing as of tomorrow thru much of next wk. The heat has been oppressive, the humidity just sucks the breath out of you. All of my men work either out in the open or in un a/c buildings, it has been horrible.

I have a lot of potted plants, also. Flowers and veggies, I just love the color and the delicious veggies off the vine. Enjoy your 'potted garden', it is easier to control and so lovely to look at.

I hope you have a wonderful 50th b/d. Dreams change as we change, don't feel badly about what you haven't done yet. You have many yrs to live your life and live your dreams. 'It ain't over till it's over' said the great Yogi Berra. Yeah, I'm a Yankee fan.

The good weather must be up here in Canada.  I live in Toronto and we are in for a heat wave this upcoming week. Will be in the 90's with a lot of humidity...not good for us folks with Fibro.

 

Guess the warm weather up here blows the myth we all live in igloos..hahahahaha  yeah
