Sigh Another flare up

Learned valuable lesson on fibro today. Don't pretend you can do things like you used to as a kid and limit yourself. I had pool therapy today, plus I did an additional two hours of doing laps, stretches extra in the pool. I feel like a truck hit me, and I'm so worn and tired and weak. And I work 6 days a week, as a live in Respite. Caregiver in other words. I have a dementia patient I take care of. I'm wondering, how I can take care of her and recover from this flare up. Any ideas how to help me get better faster or any relief?

Better faster?? Gosh, if someone has an answer to that question I'll take a dose or two. Keep those muscles warm and rest! And if you are like the rest of us, you will likely repeat this all over again in a while. I always do...lol

Haha, I'm a blonde bald, of course I'll be normal and repeat it LOL! Oh, for those who don't get the blonde bald, I shaved my head and only have a tad now, and I'm dishwater blonde (well, when I have hair LOL). I shaved it for St Baldricks, a fundraiser for children with cancer.

Sounds like you're trying to get stronger so you can better handle all the stress in your life. That's a constant frustration for me...yesterday I stupidly pushed a cart into Loew's that had a big bag of fertilizer on it, that wouldn't drive straight without me pushing from the side. WHY? Because I didn't want to go back into the store and ask the kid who put it on the cart to get someone to actually push it in for me. Pride, in other words. Pride goeth, you know? Now I'm going to spend my day in the mountains in pain. When will we ever learn?

It is just so hard to pace ourselves. We always push to do more. Having fibro makes it so hard when you want to accomplish something. I think we do a lot at one time too thinking maybe the fibro wont catch up with us. But it always does.

Take care all. Rest and relax when you can. After all this is a holiday weekend suppose to be filled with fun things.
