.
I too use Firefox and there are a couple ways of making a link. You can use the 'Post Reply' or the 'New Topic' and you get the screen that has what appears to be lots of options for typing your message. If you try to use them they don't seem to work, at least not for me. So I had hubby explain what's going on there....he's been a computer programmer for well over 30+ years, or is that 35 maybe...lol
OK, one of those buttons has a URL on it. If you click it you get something that looks like this...(I hope it comes thru OK and doesn't make a url out of my sentence.) OK, I tried and because I had those codes in the sentences it tried to turn my entire post into a link...lol Here goes an edit so you can see what I'm talking about
, I hope.
A set of these [] with the letters URL inside of them.. This is the 'code' you have to put in front of your link...no spaces. Then add your url/link and click the URL button again...and.another set of brackets [] with /url in there goes right behind the it...no spaces. If you click the button twice you get both of them together. If you want to do that, you will just insert your URL in the middle.
What I do instead of using the URL key is to just type those little characters before and after the url I'm trying to make into a hot link. Faster than messing with that button. BUT, remember...those two sets of characters look almost alike but don't forget the forward slash (/) on the second one or it won't work. That tells the system you have come to the end of the link. Other things can be done the same way for those using Firefox. Here are some examples...
before and after a word or wordS will give you bold text
for italics
for underlined
Here's the link you are trying to post...

Chutz
ps, I had to work this thing over several time because it kept trying to turn the whole thing into a link. So if this doesn't make sense just email me and I will be happy to help you out.
