Rheumatologist Appt

Hi everyone,

Just got back a little while ago from my rheumatologist appointment.  He is pretty sure it is fibro but is running six more blood tests to make sure.  He said I really do have the symptoms and I about flew out of the chair a few times when he touched me in certain areas.  He said for me to call next week for the results of the blood test.

It sounds like your rheumy is thorough and that is VERY good!  Glad you have someone that believes in fibro.  That's half the battle.  Let us know what you find out because we really do care about you.

I am hoping something gets diagnosed soon. He thought it was fibro but I'm glad he is doing the other blood tests. Most everything else has been ruled out at this point. He did give me something to help me sleep and the last couple of nights I have slept through the night. Is anyone on Lyrica? That seems to be the popular choice from what I've been reading.

I am not sure if I have welcomed you. i am new here myself and also in Limboland. I have a follow up with my Neuro on July 28th and then at that time will tell him i would like to see a Rheumy to test for Fibro, as all other things have been ruled out, though I did find out I have a bulging disc in my lower back. I was not surprised about that since my mom has major back problems, but I do have all over body pain. So, did you have the tender point test done yet? How did that go? I hope you find some answer soon! I know the waiting game is not fun.

I was tender in about 14 of the 18 years that he touched. A few more tender than others.
