Dot, check out vitamin D3 and also malic acid/magnesium supplements. I take both and they have really helped me with pain and fatigue. I wrote about them and put the links in Fibro 101.
I live in Florida but was very deficient in vitamin D. That's because I wear sunscreen. They are finding that vitamin D deficiency is a large problem now. I take 5,200 IU of vitamin D3 a day.
Many with fibro are deficient in malic acid and magnesium, too. Malic acid is found in apples but you'd have to eat bushels a day to get what you need. But, as I said, I've written all about this in Fibro 101. You might want to check that out.
Also, keep moving. If you sit or lay too long, you will be stiff as a board and in more pain. Do stretching a lot during the day, too. There are some good stretching exercises in Fibro 101 that really do work.
These things have helped me a lot. You want a gentle exercise that you can do every day. I walk and swim for my exercise. I walk my dog at least a mile every morning before breakfast and this has really helped me, too. I sure don't feel like heading out the door because I'm hurting but, by the time I get back, I have more energy and the muscles have loosened. I've enjoyed checking out the flowers, clouds, homes, front doors and just generally talking to God and I feel so much better when I get home.
I hope you start to feel better soon. Nope, I have enough problems. I don't want to be a test subject!
