Another symptom?

I am absolutely miserable...for a week now I have had a dry, painful throat...have difficulty swallowing...Also my tounge is swollen, and it hurts also! I have lost my voice and my hubby has a smile on his face over that!

I have been drinking lots of hot tea...anyone else have these symptoms also?

hi, just wondering is there any way it could be strep throat. Might want to have it checked by your dr. just to make sure. Praying for you

Awww, Notluvinit - that's no fun at all. It would be a good idea to let your doctor know about these symptoms. The swollen tongue is concerning me, especially. Right now it is after hours for most doctor's offices, but typically they have on-call nurses who can talk to you about your symptoms. That's free - and often very helpful.

PS: Forgot to answer what you were asking about it being another fibro symptom. No, I don't believe it is directly related to fibro. Sorry.

You could be allergic to something, I would talk to the doctor about it and maybe figure out what it is that you might be allergic to. Your throat could swell up if it is an allergy. Let us know what you find out. Does this happen often? Maybe benadryl would help you. But do talk to the doc.
