What is the matter with people.  You walk around with pain on your face and people act like you are doing them some kind of evil and get their underwear all tied up in knots.  Seriously!  I just told this person to please slow down I could not keep up and that I was flaring and that I was miserable.  Ok, so this person whose intials are dh, did come around and offer to bring me meds, but I am still cranky.  On top of that, I want to sew.  Why do I want to sew?  I must be crazy because I suck at sewing and I feel awful, but I want to sew and I am going to sew and drat it all, I am just cranky!

forgot my meds today.  :(     fibro meds - although I did forget anti depressants, too.  And, I started my period and have gas!  So there! Meh

Sue, somedays are just plain crappy. Fibro + period+ gas... can = bad day.
Hope your sewing project turns out well. Hubby is sill waiting for me to sew a button
back on his shirt...he'll be waiting awhile, lol. That picture of you makes you look
really thin. I hope it isn't the one they put on your driver's license.

Hope a good night's sleep will help make you feel better!

Well, Sue, you just go ahead and BE cranky! You've got a right.

I suck at sewing, too (but I love it in theory.) What are you going to sew?

Oh Sue, Im sorry yesterday was a bad day, I know for a fact that we all have our cranky days. Even in a bad mood you did manage to make me laugh. I loved the little "so there Meh" at the end. I hope today is a much better day for you.

What have I been sewing? They are supposed to be cloth napkins. I collected squares of fabric at wm, got complimentary colors (6 for each of 4 people). They are belated birthday gifts to give on Saturday.

You just turn fold the fabric inside out, sew around, turn it right side out, close the hole and sew around again. So far, I have forgotten to put the holder thingy on the thread when filling the bobbin, so the bobbin thread was lumpy. Once I even sewed for 2-3 minutes after the needle became unthreaded and didn't even realize that I was only poking holes in the fabric! after sewing the edges on one, accidentally cut the fabric, so had to cut that part off and sew over.

But the seams are relatively straight and they look like napkins. I have made 12 so far. 12 more to go.

I am very sore today. Nightmares about hubby being mean to me (which he didn't really do). Working from home so I can get my placard at dmv.

Sue, I hope you are doing better today.  Pain is miserable.

 

Sew?  My husband did the sewing in my house!  LOL  He would sew buttons on and Girl Scout patches on their sashes.  A needle and thread don't get along with me.  He bought me a sewing machine.  I made two T-shirts, they both fell apart, and I had to do a lot of repenting for the language I was using while sewing.  I closed up that machine and sold it in a garage sale. 

 

I hope your napkins turn out beautifully.  That will make you happy.

I know what you mean, Sherrine, needle and thread don't get along with me, either! I made a few Halloween custumes when the kids were little - took me about 10 hours to make a simple robe (plain sleeves, no collar, no zipper, no buttons!) In my next life I hope to have a talent with 3 dimensions :)

I have sewn buttons to my own lap! I am really terrible at sewing and it frequently makes me hyperventilate. I am also going to try to make cloth coffee cup sleeves. I think I have gone soft in the head.

My older sister sewed something on the machine yrs ago, and managed to sew her fingers. That had to hurt. Back away from the machines!! I had sewing in HS, miserable teacher, didn't enjoy it at all.

I used to sew by hand for yrs, baby quilts, full size quilts, miniature quilts, curtains, etc for my doll house, embroidery, crewel work, Christmas items. I don't remember off hand sewing buttons on things. My DH used to sew buttons on his pants or shirts, learned that in the service, I didn't want to see him lose that skill! smilewinkgrin

I can't get my fingers to cooperate anymore, so sewing is off the table.

Sue, your napkins sound very pretty. I'm sure the person receiving them will love them.
