Hurray! Chance I might be able to see my former psychologist again

This is a weird thing to be excited about - but I am.

I told you that I discovered an old hypnosis recording from a psychologist I used to see in the early 90's. It is a huge help to me in my quest for being more pro-active and positive.

Well, I called him last week asking about other tapes/recording I could buy or whatever.

He and I just had a very long talk on the phone. I just LOVE this man. He is so supportive and makes me feel like being a better person just by hearing his voice. Not only is he putting together four more recordings for me (only $5 per recording) ---- but here is the greatest part. He said he believes that one of the HMO options I am being offered under my state insurance program would let me see him again as a patient. He said he's dealt with a lot of IBS and Fibromyalgia - and he thinks he could help me put this all together a little more than if I did it alone. Hurrayyyyy!

Now - I shouldn't get too excited until I can confirm that the ins will cover his visits - but hey, this is HOPE!

What seemed like a horrible change at first glance (my ins) might actually be a gift.

hey that is some good news for you Chickie!! I need to find a good psychologist myself. I went to one last year as I was having problems dealing with money or lack of. I ended up owing him 500.00..........arghh......Add that to my growing list of health care bills, I have a 2400.00 deductable which kills me every year.

Uh oh. Well, problem. Although he accepts patients who are on my state insurance program, those must be either married, or disabled people. Either families, or disabled people, under my insurance plan, are allowed to see a psychologist and also get their dental covered. I, on the other hand, am on a more limited coverage program for single, childless adults. We don't get psychologists and we don't get dental.

*huge sigh*

I'm not going to let this get me down though. I still loved talking to him. He's going to send me four more recordings. And - somehow, I want to find a way to have an appointment with him anyway. Even if I could only see him once, twice, or three times - it would be beneficial. I'll just have to find a way. I'm too stubborn not to get my way on this.
