Red palms, swollen hands

Good morning all.  I woke up this morning and noticed my palms were very red and my hands were swollen.  No pain. Has anyone else seen this before?  I have had this happen a few different times.

My palms are always red.. Sometimes Scarlett! But never swollen. I have no idea what causes this and in my searches I can only see Liver problems for that but have nothing wrong with my Liver. Let me know what you find out.

I took pictures of them with my phone so I can show my rheumatologist on my next appt. I searched webmd with no results. My liver function test was abnormal on my initial visit with my doctor but he never mentioned anything else about it. Very interested to see...

I do get red swollen hands but I attribute that to arthritis and MCTD. I do have
pain when they are swollen.

Saintsfan, I also take pictures to the rheumy. I think it is a great idea.....so many
times I've had swelling, rashes or lesions but they would be gone by my appointment. Having pictures is a great way to document symptoms.

Hope you both will find out what is causing the swelling. Sometimes meds can do
that.

Robin, it never fails, when I go to see the doc it's gone. My appt isn't until the 10th but I want to make sure I have all my documentation together because I will forget if i don't.
