Happy Monday to all~

We haven't talked about food much lately so I thought a topic on sweets might be fun. What sweets are your favorite? Sweets can mean anything from a candy bar to grandma's pound cake. The sky is the limit on this one. But, if you post an exceptionally wonderful sounding homemade confection be prepared to share a recipe. tongue

I can narrow this down to something chocolate and after than the going gets tough. I don't understand eating things like gummy 'things' or hard candies. If it isn't chocolate, it's not candy...lol (OK, I bought the most disgusting gummy rats for grandkids birthday party treats. They loved them but I went for the M&M's) Anyway, if you somehow mix chocolate and a cheesecake you are getting mighty close to perfection. On special request I make a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake to write home about! Time for me to quit drooling or I'll be in the kitchen getting into trouble. shocked

I remember when I was a child and we lived in Ohio, my grandmother would take me to someplace with a counter that served brownie with ice cream, hot fudge and whip cream....it was awesome.  I have tried to do it here but it's not the same, oh well must be a childhood memory I can't re-create.

I'm with you, Chutz - chocolate after every meal (even if it's just a piece of candy & half a cookie!) Chocolate eclairs, puddings, pie, candy. I do love gummy bears too, though...the texture is great but they make my mouth have too much saliva - ??? Don't like hard or sticky candy, though - too many crowns on my teeth!

Favorite? Wow, that's tough - I guess hot-out-of-the-oven chocolate cake, with hot fudge and ice cream like you said, Kellie. Or what's that thing they have at Applebee's? - "black bottom" cake or something. Same idea. Hot & cold, gooey and cakey all at once, mmm.

Blueberry or strawberry cheesecake, (and your Reeses one sounds pretty great too, Chutz!) banana tortes (but not if they have that artificial banana flavor),
oh and strawberry daquiris when my body used to let me drink ;(

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.....You said it ...forget the meal, just eat the chocloate

I love Mars Bars....they had been hard to find but about 3 months ago they started showing up on the shelves at Walmart.As a child I would run into my grandmothers fridge and in one of the drawers it was filled with Mars Bars and something else and the other drawer was filled with Shasta cola's.... what a sweet memory...the good ole days.... Some day I will be a granny too and hope to spoil those grandkids rotten.

So sad cry but I am allergic to chocolate. I know, I know, you feel sorry for me. But Rice Krispie Treats make me feel better.

reeses peanut butter cups and m&ms-I looove chocolate. Unfortunately I hate to cook and not much of a baker either-I prefer the cnady bar variety.

Anything chocolate, and after that, cheesecake! This time of year I also love caramel apples. I try not to eat too much since I'm trying to watch my blood sugar, but I have just discovered sugar free Klondike bars. Yum.

I'm sorry puppylover about the chocolate; we have food allergies at my house, too. But I'm glad you can have other desserts.

This one is easy....chocolate, anything choclate. I even ate a chocolate covered
