anyone else everdo this?

SO we're in the middle of moving to a cheaper and better place(not often you get both) i have not done any of the moving because now that i have my pain under control i don't want to mess it up. Anyways i have been dealing with te putting things away and calling to transfer things end.

the first night at my newplace though something very weird happened. the first symptom that disappeared when i started my symbalta was my jaw pain. two nigts agoe though as i was falling asleep my jaw closed and i was basically biting the inside of my lower lip. I knew i was doing it but i think i was too tired to release. All through the night i KNEW i was biting my mouth but in my sleep couldn't stop it

I wokeup about 4 am with my mouth allbloody (of course) and i almost had to pry my mouth openbecause it just wouldn't open. I mean I knew what wasgoing on I knew my mouth was in pain but i had to tottally get myself all relaxed just so my jaw would relax and let go of my mouth. IT WAS sO WIERd!!1

Please tellme i'mnot the only wierdoout there!!!

After I started Lexapro I had the worst jaw clenching ever...bit raw sores on my lips and inside my cheeks.  I still have ridges from where I chewed.  I went to the dentist and had a very expensive mouth guard made and it gave me canker sores so that is still in the drawer.  Don't know how long you have been on Cymbalta but it should go away with time, if it's the drug causing this.  I am going through it again....now that I have stopped Lexapro.  I am also grinding my teeth.

Were you sleeping in a different position, maybe on the other side of the bed? When my pillows are arranged differently, or I sleep in a different bed, I have more jaw problems.

When I fall asleep on the couch, my jaw locks. If I fall asleep sitting up, my jaw dislocates and I have to ease it back into place.

I had mouth guards many years ago and they didn't help. I chewed through the first one and wore it out in about 6 months. The second was even worse, I actually bit through it and almost choked on a piece of it. My current dentist wants me to try one again when we finish all the expensive work I need. At least he listens and wants to work with me.

Before I fall asleep, I arrange my pillows so that my head and neck are in the proper position and I find that I don't bite myself nearly as much. Yes, I move around but I think my sub-conscience knows to move the pillows so I don't eat my cheeks.
