Really bad fibrofog or drugs are making me stupid!

Yesterday I put yogurt in the microwave and this morning I was doing dishes and poured water in my dish drain rack and it ran all over my counter and on the floor!  And I just kept pouring until the container was empty!  I was standing in front of the sink!  I try to put square lids on round containers.  That's just to name a few of the stupid things I've done this week!

I hope this does not get worse when I increase my dosage of lyrica or I might need to be locked in a rubber room!

It might be the lyrica but it will wear off. I did (more) stupid stuff when I was first starting on all those drugs--lyrica, cymbalta, savella--but the longer you are on the drugs the better that symptom gets, at least in my situation.
Now I seem to be especially forgetful and I'm not on anything except pain pills, so go figure. It's very frustrating.

Krista, I've been "stupid" for a long time due to fog...had it prior to meds and
after meds. It is frustrating, sometimes embarrassing and sometimes it makes
me laugh. My hubby says I just need to focus more..dah...wish it was that easy.

I have learned to accept there might be days I find a lb of hamburger in the
pantry or kleenex in the refrigerator or spend time looking for a purse that was
hanging off my shoulder the whole time. I still try to open the car sunroof with the
garage door opener after repeated miss trys. Laundry can be challenging on some
days...open the dryer after it has been going for an hour to find a loney dryer
sheet. What can be said about the joys of fibro fog??? It certainally is amusing!

Hoping the fog clears in your neck of the woods :)

If it is your meds, it will just take some time for the symptoms to wear off. I've been on all my meds a long time. I just have really bad fibrofog. I feel like I am either an idiot or I have Alzheimer's. It's really frustrating at times, but I just try to laugh at myself. It seems to help if I find it all funny.

Did you ever pick up the remote and tried to call someone or vice versa? I honestly did a lot more of those things when on Lyrica, Cymbalta ect. I still do things but no where near as often.

Hello my freinds I have had some of these moments to. I put parmesan cheese in my coffee thinking it was sugar yuck! I put my purse inside the fridge and so on and so on it sometimes seems to never stop these fog moments so I just try to deal with it .

So what's my excuse...LOL!  I don't take anything except Tylenol (useless) and Advil.  I still look for my glasses that are propped up on my head, make coffee with no coffee...and just last week tried to answer the phone with the remote control for the bazillioneth time and put it in 'Spanish Mode' which took me forever to figure out how to change it back to English.  And why on earth do so many of us put things in the freezer???  It's not the drugs for me...

omg, so I'm not the only one! That's a relief! I guess it helps to laugh about it but sometimes it's just very frustrating!

I think I am turning into my mother...however, she has a good excuse, she had a stroke a few years ago. She gets lost and disoriented all the time when driving. My mother also has lupus and I think she has fibro too.

I had some of this fog before the meds, but it seems alot worse since the lyrica. So maybe it's drug related and maybe it's just fibro.

I get my words mixed up, forget when I'm cooking; but the one that my kids will never let me live down is when I was panicking and looking for my cell phone(I was talking on it,lol). all we can do is laugh at ourselves.
