Bad Pain 12am

Its 12 am here and I'm awake and in alot of pain.  Everyone else is asleep and I don't want to wake them so I'm turning to you guys.  I've posted on here about my side pain.  It started 2 years ago and I have been dealing with it not seeing a doctor for it due to bad experiences with doctors in the past.  Within the past 3 weeks the pain that has been there for all this time has become unbarable.  It hurts from under my right rib cage around my side and into my back.  It feels like its burning and pinching and throbbing all together.  I feel exhausted, sick to my stomach and desperate for help.  I am a stay at home mom with 3 daughters, my husband works.  We don't have alot of money so my copays back and forth to the doctor is killing us.  Not to mention I baby sit for my best friends 2 young daughters, she depends on me, my family depends on me so its hard to even make the time to go to the doctor.  I've been to the er twice in the past 3 weeks.  They give me vicodin, say they find nothing and send me home after 8 hours of waiting.  My doctor has ran an ultrasound and found my liver to be enlarged due to insulin resistance from not being treated for pcos for years.  They did a cat scan and found diverticulosis.  They've ran blood tests and found nothing.  I feel so alone.  I keep analyzing it all and wonder sometimes if I am crazy.  But I know the pain is real.  It feels like whatever is causing this is something swollen or enlarged which has made me think it was my liver.  Now the doctor says that I have to go to a gyno to get checked for endometriosis.  She says she doesn't believe the pain would be coming from my liver.  Today when I woke up I started having even more pain.  When I was pg for one of my kids she was laying on my sciatic nerve so I do remember what it felt like.  It feels like I'm being electicuted inside like a shooting electrical pulse is going from my side where I have all the pain into my hip.  It makes my leg jerk when it does this.  I don't know if its possable that my enlarged liver is pushing on my sciatic nerve now or what or if thats even possable.  The doctor put me on Metformin and upped the dose last week I am very sick to my stomach since.  I just feel like I'm at the end of my rope.  I'm the one my family and friends al.ways come to for support, or emotional issues but its hard for me to go to them.  I worry I'm disturbing them or inconveniencing them.  I don't know what to do about anything right now.  I hope I'm making sence.  Thanks for listening.

I too have endometrios. The pain in that is failry scheduled, about the same week every month. I too suggest gallbaldder. I was positive on pushing in the area, and my scans came back at around 68 function. I had this for years. Its a buring stretchy kind of pain. Right under the right rib cage. I did notice there was a an increaes in things I ate such as fat or ranch dressing, lol. I was diagnosed in june with fibro but this was one of the symptoms and still comes and goes. For now I watch what I eat but it still comes at times::(

Domanique, Sciatica does feel like a sharp electrical pain. The sciatic nerve is
as big around as your thumb...when that nerve is impinged it is quite painful. I
have sciatica from time to time. The pain usually starts in the lower back but will
wrap around the hip region and go down a leg. The cause is generally an inpinge-
ment due to compression of the nerve due to swelling or bad discs.

If you google sciatica, you will come up with loads of info. I'm hoping the source
of your pain is found so you can find relief. I'm sure you are frustrated with your
doctor...sometimes a second opinion is needed to get results. Good luck to you!!!

Hi domanique, a pain clinic is a place where they will try different techniques and medications to help you deal with the pain. The drs. there specialize in chronic pain and figuring out ways to help you deal with it. I hope this helps.
