It's been 8 days with no vicodin. Thanks to those of you who have kept me in your thoughts and prayers. Sometimes the struggle is very hard. The doctors and I are soon going to be removing 2 more meds. One step at a time.

I am in pain - my heating pad is my friend now. I would be lying if I didn't tell you that this is not easy. I had no idea. sad

But I've made it 8 days, and that is the longest in 4 years. Something to be happy about. yeah

Good for you, Myjoy!! I'm sure it is hard, but you are stronger and you're showing it. Good to hear the dr is going to be removing 2 more meds. And, yes you are right, as w/ everything - One Step At A Time!!

I know what you mean about the heating pad. Mine is my 'bestest friend' LOL! You have much to be proud of, You are taking care of You!! I do hope it gets easier for you w/ each day.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers and thoughts.

Myjoy, that's good news! You have a lot to be proud of. These drugs can be so insidious. It's a fine line to walk, and sometimes, we fall over.....but you are doing the hard work now, and I hope it gets better every day.

Myjoy, I'm happy for you... that you have the strength and courage to do what
you know is right for you! You have taken a giant step and should be very proud

I pray each day gets easier.  I have witnessed people that I love going through what your going through.  It's no picnic.

 I know how difficult it can be, but you seem to have the courage and determination that is needed.

Lord please bless Myjoy, and give her Your joy! Sustain her and comfort her through this time.

Good going!  I am weaning off Valium at the moment and it too is very nasty.  It would be much easier to go back on it, let me tell you, but like you...it 'was time' to say goodbye.  yeah yeah yeah
