Hello friends,

So far I am on 25mg, 2x per day and so far really good. I start 50 mg 2x per day tomorrow. I am hopeful that nothing will change.  I do get hot flashes but I am not too sure if this could be the Savella or the possible thyroid problem I may have. Still waiting on those results.  As for the Savella, it makes a huge difference on my pain level and so far so good no side effects.  I hope it stays that way.

Hot flashes can be caused by Savella. Not a big deal if you are tolerating them.

The hot flashes stopped for me about 10 days after I reached the 50mg dose. I love Savella. It really took the edge off the pain and made me feel like a new person. Truly a blessing. I hope you have the same response!

So far on 50 mg 2 x per day. I felt a bit of nausea but not a big deal.  Hopefully the hot flashes will go away. Thank you all for the input on Savella.  I will keep you posted. Have a blessed day.

My rheumatologist mentioned Savella to me. Right now, we're keeping it on the back burner. I'd never heard of it before. Hot flashes? Goodness, I don't need more of those, I have plenty of them already. But if it helps the pain...

I took Savella and it was wonderful for the pain, but my bp went too high and I had to stop taking it. I take Lexapro now and it helps a lot. It causes some hot flashes, but the longer I take it, the fewer the hot flashes. At first, I used to wake up in the middle of the night w/my hair soaking wet and the sheets soaking wet. Yuck! Still, even if I still had to put up w/the hot flashes, I would take it. It stopped the burning in my feet.
