Hi all. I haven't been around in a while; I've been having some health issues unrelated to fibro, and I'm going in for some testing tomorrow. I'm asking for prayers as I don't have a lot of peace about it. Thanks so much.

Hi Austen,

I'm sorry you're experiencing even more health problems than in the past. If you're like me, it must be incredibly frustrating to have to add even more thing to deal with (I was just diagnosed with Diabetes on top of everything else).

I hope that the tests you are having tomorrow will very clearly show your medical team what the problems are, so they can fix you up and get you back on your feet. I hope that you are comfortable during these tests and that the medical professionals you encounter tomorrow are all warm and considerate towards you. So often, we hear of doctors and nurses treating us horribly and/or not believing our pain, so my prayer is that everyone you encounter treats you well, like you deserve.

Good luck and I hope you'll post again when you're able, so we know how you are doing.

Hi Austen, you have my prayers that everything turns out ok. I know how scarey some of these tests can be. I will be thinking and praying for you. Please let us know how it turns out.

Thank you so much for the prayers. My ultrasound today was inconclusive, and I have to have more testing done, but the fact that nothing major showed up was encouraging.

I usually handle "new" health issues pretty well, but this time I just haven't dealt with it very well. I think my cup is just full, and it doesn't take much to overflow it.

You people are amazing. Thanks for the compassion.

Just an update for all of those who prayed for me:

My tests/biopsies all came back negative. We still aren't sure what is causing my problems, but it doesn't appear to be serious. I don't know why I had such a difficult time coping with this new issue (goodness knows I've been down a similar path many times), but I really appreciate your prayers and kind words. I really needed support, and you all were so responsive. I love this forum and the people on it. :-)

Austen, this is great news.  You'll find out what is causing this but you don't have to be alarmed now.  No matter how strong you are, there are times when we fall apart.  I'm very strong and I've fallen apart on several occasions.  It's like your systems says, "Enough"!  That's when you lean on God and those prayers help.  We try to do and handle everything ourselves and that's not always possible.  Hope you are having a great day.

Austen, I am glad to hear that you are not dealing with something serious. That is encouraging. I do pray that they are able to find the cause of your bothersome symptoms. I wish you the best of luck, and I will pray that you have peace about all of this. I know what it is like to be going through something and no one can seem to find the answer. Be blessed!
