hands

Hi to all. 

I have a question. 

     I have been having a new kind of pain that has me worried.  For about 2 months I have had an increase of pain in my hands.  Sometimes they just ache. Some times they burn so bad it feels like I struck both hands in a french fryer.(This has lasted for over 24 hours straight at times.)  I am having stabbing pains in one hand from my middle finger all they way up into my wrist.  I feel like I am losing my ability to use my hands, they don't work right.  There is also more pain than usual in my feet.  Both hands and feet are also going dead alot,  numb, but staying that way for a long time.  I have been DX'd with Fibro for over a year, but am positive it goes back to childhood.  My concern is that my chiropactor scared me by asking me to get tested for MS.  She thinks the new syptoms don't say Fibro.  So my question is,  Does any one else have that extreme burning in their hands?  Extreme enough to make a grown women cry?

Any suggestions on how to ease hand pain?

Hi camperchic! Do you get any discoloring of your hands or feet turning dead
looking white, blue or purple. Raynaud's causes that burning, numbing sensation
in both the hands and feet due to inadequate blood flow due to constriction of
vessels and capularies. Neuropathy can cause simular symptoms.

If this is a new symptom, be sure to let you doc know. Hope you can find out
the cause so that you can get some relief.

Hi, it sounds like you need to bring up these symptoms to your doctor -- Vit B12 deficiency and iron deficiency can cause neuropathy symptoms as well as auto-immune diseases and fibro. If you haven't been seen by a Neurologist, that might be helpful. I've had peripheral neuropathy for several years. It causes burning, stabbing pain, and numbness in hands and feet. Also makes my hands and feet very sensitive to cold and feet sensitive to tight shoes or socks or heavy blankets at night. My Neuro prescribes an anticonvulsant med which helps quite a bit. I hope you can get help soon.
