Hi all! I am very happy to say that I just had a 10 day period where I felt completely normal. Like life BEFORE fibro!! Even my fingers were behaving! I was so excited that I didn't even say anything to anyone, because I didn't want to 'jinx' it. Have any of you have a period of "better" before a period of "worse"? The reason I ask -
I have had intermittent lower back stiffness and pain, but nothing I couldn't work through, and like I said above - a blissful week or so. Normally for the pain I would take some motrin, continue with walks and it would go away. Thursday night I went for my usual walk with a friend, and when I sat down in the car afterwards I thought "huh, I haven't been tight like that since spring..." and didn't give it another thought. I got home, did some stretches (the same ones I always do) and eventually went to bed. Nothing unusual. I woke up Friday morning so stiff I had difficulty walking. Motrin helped little, but then I turned wrong or something and it was horrendous. I have never ever felt such pain, and I'm certain there was a muscle spasm in there, also. I have been living on motrin and heating pad since then, and it seems to have gotten to a place that is better than Friday but still more stiff than usual.
Today, I also have joint and shoulder/neck issues. Maybe it's holiday stress, maybe I did something wrong, but for the life of me I can't figure it out... is this a flare? Normal? Is it because I was feeling better? How do I make sure it doesn't happen again, when I can't think of ANYTHING I did to bring this on??
Thanks - Just trying to make sense of something senseless. lol!
