Hi Hippy,
I think for many fibro's that pain is more intense at certain times of the day. A lot of us have a terrible time just trying to get out of bed and move first thing in the morning. Some people have much more evening and night pain because of being active during the day. Sit down and the pain seems to set in.
If you have anxiety hitting you during dark hours that's going to intensify the pain in itself. Fibro pain is what many refer to as "amplified pain". Our pain signals keep going off which increases the pain which sends more signals, etc. Mostly this is perceived pain as there is nothing actually wrong with the area that hurts, most of the time, but our brain keeps sending signals that says we're in pain and turns up the volume. Add your anxiety to the mix and it's no wonder you have awful pain at night.
I hope your doctor can work with you on a solution. Maybe a nice, long soothing bath int he evening to relax your muscles. Plan something to keep you busy. Do you have any hobbies or enjoy visiting with people that time of day? I'm sure it's not easy but will pray you find some relief!
