Hi, CountessJudy, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in. We have a great group of people here that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too! I think you will like it here.
I'm so glad that the malic acid/magnesium supplements have helped you so much. I know they have helped me quite a bit and have helped others, too. I do thank you for posting your story. I think people get sick of hearing me talk about them all of the time! I did delete your post in Fibro 101, though, because that thread would get v-e-r-y long if we had people post there. So, that's why I copy and pasted it in this new thread. Besides, I wanted our members to meet you, too. So, welcome aboard!
I hope you have had an opportunity to read all the links in Fibro 101. There is a ton of info in there and I do keep adding things when I see something important that I think our members should know. It's good to have this info at your fingertips, too. Sometimes we need to go back and reread it to refresh our memories, too. I know that I do that.
I'm sorry you have had to go through chemo but will pray that you have a complete recovery from this illness. We have several members on this forum that are battling cancer, too. We are here to give you support for that, too. Our members are great!
I'm glad you are off the couch, too! You do need to keep moving with this illness. Walking (like going Christmas shopping ) is great and so are swimming and yoga. Gentle stretching exercises help too.
Many members have a Bed Buddy. You can find these at Walgreen's and other places. I just bought one for my daughter at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Or, you can make one by taking a tube sock, filling it 2/3's full of raw long grain rice, and tying a knot at the end. Pop it in the microwave and it gives off moist heat. Oooooh, does that ever feel good!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. I hope to hear more from you soon.
