Hi Everyone,
It feels so good being in here again. I missed all of you. I truly need my fibro family.
A lot has happened.
The oncologist sees a 'false alarm' in my pictures.
Follow up with an MRI is needed, just to be sure.
So far, the tests on my heart are OK too!
I had a terrible experience with my neurologist. Had to cancel an apt. for a cervical MRI about
two hours in advance. The oncologist was about
to leave the country. He was available to speak with me on the phone only at the time I would be having the MRI. I need valium in order to go into the machine. There was no way both things could get done at the same time.
The neurologist's wife called back and berated me, said a few lies about
how I went about
canceling (ex: didn't use the correct phone number, called 15 min. prior to the test, etc.). Years ago I was so isolated from being in 'unexplainable' pain that my emotions and communication skills were a mess. That nasty woman would have made me cry. Instead I told her that I am a mature, responsible 40-yr-old woman, who does not deserve to be treated like a child not wanting to get a procedure done; that I would not cancel unless it was necessary. I even tried explaining the situation. She just stayed nasty until we said goodbye.
On Monday I'm calling my insurance company to cancel authorizations for the 2 MRI's and find a new specialist in my area.
On a lighter note, I just can't bring myself to use my new seat cane in public! I look too healthy to have one. It would have come in handy yesterday at the pharmacy, and supermarket too.
