Yay! She is in pain, and it's not gonna be easy, but it's over and the doctor says everything looks great, so I'm breathing a big sigh of relief. It's strange that the nerve block they gave her in her quadricep before surgery is still making it unable to work right. It's been 48 hrs. But I guess in rare cases, it can last 5 to 6 days.
She stayed here last night. The rest of the family is skiing, so it was kinda nice. She let me wait on her a little (she's the type who wants to do everything herself - sound familiar??) Now she's back in her apartment with her boyfriend, who I think will take good care of her.
Sometime during the evening, in my exhaustion-induced stupor, I decided to lean far forward and comb my hair - (why? To make it stand out from my head, of course - which was really, really important.) Actually, I just remember straightening back up and thinking, "what the *%^$ am I doing??" Naturally, I've been paying for it ever since....throb, throb.
Thanks for all the well-wishes the other day-I appreciate it so much. Now time to catch up on everyone else's threads.
