Yes, bubbaryn, Fibro Fog kicks all our butts. It's a little easier to cope with if you can laugh at yourself about
it. I've given my sister the same birthday card 3 years in a row! Every time I find it at the store I laugh out loud in the store thinking it's the funniest card I've ever seen. I give it to her and without fail she's on the ground laughing hysterically but not at the card
After the second year I promised myself I would remember the card and not do it again, that sooooo didn't happen. I don't think I've been experiencing Fibro Fog every time when I pick out the card, but I used to have the best memory before Fibro so it's something to do with it. I can't blame my memory going because of age because I'm only 28...
My husband also makes a game out of it when my mind is completely gone. I will ask the same question 5 or 6 times because I have no recollection of him answering (or so he tells me). At first he would get very annoyed at me. Now he has fun with it. He gives me a different answer every time because he knows I won't remember anyway. He has to have fun with it otherwise he'll go mad! Some times if he's not in the mood to joke he just won't answer knowing that I'll ask again anyway... Some days the fog can be very thick and it is hard to accomplish anything or retain anything, but hey it comes with the territory so we have to embrace it along with the pain. YAY! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, there are a few past threads about Fibro Fog and people sharing our most comical stories about it. It really helps to laugh at it rather than get frustrated.
