I just told my husband that earlier tonight I was looking for the TV show "How I Met My Wife," and he looked at me and said, "You mean, How I Met Your Mother"?  Good grief..

Ummm, oh dear! I am still looking at that one with my head tilted and squinting my eyes!...lol Isn't it amazing what comes out of our mouths sometimes. That is just too funny~

You know, we should start a book about all the fibrofog and misspeaking that we do. I told my daughter to sit down and do wash the dishes...what I meant to say was to do your homework. Good grief!

know whats funny. I spent the last 16 years correcting my hubby on his misspoken, mispronounced words and now he is doing it to me. And, I cannot even get mad at him because he just does it matter of factly, not sarcastically. Sometimes we both just look at each other and then laugh.

It really is crazy that we can do that and not really help it, sometimes not even catch it. Of course, there are the times we really mess up big time and everyone has to know - its like the big family joke..haha

sorry, I can't think of any right this moment, my other friend, fibro fog is visiting today. Maybe later

I can type away and think I am spelling right and hitting the right keys and then when I reread my gibberish I have a lot of fixing to do. The big problem is that it is getting worse.

I was telling my mom that my rooster was eating all the suet that I put out for the birds, cleaning out the suet feeder, wire cage thing. What I told her was that the rooster was eating my bird stuff that I put in that wire cage thingy. She knew what I was talking about....hehe I couldn't even remember what suet was called

Thank you so much for posting, I had forgotton about this aspect and I have been giving my hubby dirty looks because he is forever correcting people and now he does it to me over and over.

Uhmmm, I used to correct my hubby, too. Now he looks at me and fills in the right word, or patientily asks me what I am really trying to say. I love that man!

Right after he said that, I asked him, "Do you love me?" He said, "Yes." I said, "I'm so glad."

He usually gently corrects me (if he can figure out what I'm trying to say) or he just instinctively know what I'm saying and doesn't say anything.

I have forgotten which way right and left is and east and west (and I was ALWAYS good at directions!).

So forgetting right and left is pretty embarrasing, especially when you do it at work!!!!!!

And I think everyone with fibro uses the work "thingy" a lot LOL!

I was driving my husband to work back in the early 1990s and turned in at the car wash. He asked me, "Where are you going?" I answered, "I'm taking you back to work!" He said, "You just turned in at the car wash!" Then I realized I was about half a block away from the actual street I needed to turn on.
