Hi Normal, I'm new on this site and saw your post and just wanted to say that I too had a recent MRI on my lft. shoulder and they found a small tear. I have already had a rotator cuff repair done on the rgt. shoulder. It took 6 months for me to totally get back to where I could go back to doing my job as a flatbed truck driver, throwing straps and tying down loads.
I think Robin is right about trying to remain active and exercise as much as possible, it does help. But for me even with exercise my fibro problem, and other issues that still need to be diagnosed cause me pain 24/7. I suspect RA.
