I have had FMS going on 8 years and I was wondering if my current problem is related to FMS
I have a problem speaking, I slur my words
I also have a problem with walking using my right leg, all the time when I walk my right leg feels like it isn't there so I have to stop walking for about 30 seconds then I can resume walking, for maybe 50 steps then I have to wait again. This new problem started four months ago. I have giving up talking because people keep saying to me what did you say.

Hi, again, FMSandMale!  Well, I would see my doctor if that were

happening to me.  This isn't something that happens with fibro...at least I haven't heard of it.  It is so easy to blame things on fibro since we have so many varied symptoms.  But, our symptoms are similar to other illnesses that can be helped. 

 

Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there.  Be sure to read the Symptoms link and the link called What Else Could It Be.  These should be ruled out before a diagnosis of fibromyalgia is given.  We also can have fibro and other illnesses, too.  We have members that have fibro and lupus for example. 

 

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.  Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you.  Please let us know what your doctor says because we really do care about you.  I do hope to hear more from you soon.

I would suggest too seeing a doctor. This could be something serious or not. It could be another symptom of fibro, but I would make sure by talking to a professional.

I am so glad that you have joined us. Keep posting and know we all do care.

So happy to see you posting. I am concerned about your new symptoms. I really think you should make an appointmen w/your doctor as soon as possible. Please let us know how it goes, and welcome to the forum!
