Forgot to mention that - in addition to physiotherapy and the bolster - I also sleep with my ankles elevated on two small foam pillows. This was a suggestion from the massage therapist I had a few years ago and it is a huge help. Prior to elevating my ankles, I had a lot of throbbing and discomfort in my legs and in addition to the Fibro, it was a big factor in how much sleep I lost thru the night.
I found the foam pillows at JYSK that are meant to relieve back pain, the kind that you put in between your knees when you're laying on your side. Well they are perfect for elevating ankles, too. I put them both together into a flannel pillow case and pin the excess fabric from the pillow case to keep the pillows from sliding around and after the initial period of about a week to get used to the new sleeping habit, I don't know what I'd do without them now.
blessings and peace
