Who's driving my car?

Yesterday was a foggy day for me. I had an opthamologist appointment at 11:00 in the next city over. I left the house with plenty of time. Somehow my car ended up at the mall...I don't know how. I did make my appointment. Luckily the doc's office was only a couple of miles away. Who was driving my car? It must of been my guardian angel. Do you ever space out, going from one point to another without recall? I've never had an accident, so I'm lucky. I guess I was foggier than I thought...there are days I won't drive if I think I'm too bad.

Robin, I pulled into our next door neighbor's driveway, got out of the car and tried to get into their locked house!  Their house looks nothing like mine. BTW.  All I can think of is that I must have been really into the tunes on the radio and got distracted???    I hate it when that happens and am so happy you found your car and are safe.  Did you buy anything at the mall???

Yes, (fist to forehead) - doh! What am I doing???!! All too familiar, I'm afraid. Sometimes it does get a bit scary. So, I too want to know - what did you buy?

What did I buy at the mall....not a thing. I pulled into a parking place and realized I was supposed to be at the opthamologist. I got there in time....but after the appointment I did go back and bought a top:)

This type of discussion scares me. Occasionally I do realize I drove pass where I needed to get off, but normally do not get lost and such.  BUT, I keep losing my car.  It's so aggravating.  I can't remember where I parked it!  I used to specifically pick a landmark to remember, now I forget to do that.  Twice today I walked out of a store and had no idea where I parked.  Thankfully, both times, my car was visible, so I found it right away.  I can't imagnine having to give up driving.

Sounds familiar to me as well. I go into the grocery store only to come out and wonder where in the heck I left my truck. And so the search begins....its frustrating but funny at the same time. I have resorting to not going to the store alone. I drag my daughter along or hubby so they can remember where we parked and which route we need to take to get home. That's if I can remember their names to ask them to go in the first place! Its not funny but I have to laugh...if I don't, I'll cry. And I'd much rather laugh than cry at this point. :)
