Donna, I'll join you! The two of us would scare the daylights out of them if we showed up at Shirley's house...especially if we haven't had our tea or coffee! AND, if we are in a flare....look out! Two old broad Tasmanian Devils to deal with! Yikes! LOL
Shirley, I don't know anything about the patches. Is the medication on a patch surrounded by adhesive? If so, you could be allergic to the adhesive. Lots of times, there is metal in the adhesive. I'm allergic to adhesives and was really sweating it out about having to wear an ostomy appliance. But, I use a skin barrier to protect the skin that the adhesive sticks to. It dries almost immediately and you could do an edge, let it dry (about 10 seconds) and then stick that edge to your skin. This way the part of your skin that takes in the medication isn't touched by the barrier. Maybe the medication can go through the barrier, too. Ask your doctor. If so, you would just swab your skin, use your blow dryer on low for about 5 seconds and then apply the patch. I use Smith and Nephew Skin Barrier and this can be bought at medical supply businesses. Perhaps this would help you.
I'll be praying, not only for the levee staying solid, I'll also be praying that your petscan will be great. Take care. You know we really love you here on HealingWell.
